Okay after some good instructions from my wife I have finally figured this out. I apologize if this is a cut and paste but she has received many emails from family and friends and this was the easiest way.
Well, we have had a rough few days. Barb had emergency surgery yesterday because there was so much infection her fever had spiked to 104 and her kidney was shutting down. They could not actually remove the stone because of the amount of infection, and a laser risked spreading the infected tissue to others organs and then we could have had all sorts of problems. They put in a stint to allow some relief and give time for some of the infection to clear. They finally figured the stone was 9mm, and the cut off for one to pass on its own is 5. Lets just say that Naval Hospital was not very happy to have a Colonel down their backs for letting this get to this point. I would like to say she is much better, but she feels like she has quote “one of the worst freaking urinary track infections” she has ever had, and the stunt is painful, too. She’s pitiful, but she is a trooper and I am very proud of her. So that’s the latest. She bugged me all morning to come on here and update her blog. She is very upset that the tree is not up for her baby, so all her family came over earlier to put it up. Thank goodness for that because I thought I was gonna have to call in the Marines and Lord knows what they would have concocted. I thank you for concern and all the kind words I have read here tonight.
The good thing is I was able to come here and check out her blog. This explains what she is doing at night beside me while I am watching movies she can’t stand – Westerns.
I will keep you up to date or hopefully she will feel like it in a few days.
Barb’s Husband,
Bill

Dear Colonel Bill,
Thank you for the update and please tell Barb that Suzie is here praying for her and all of you.
I’m happy that her family got the tree up for you and the little guy. I’m sure that the Marines would have done a fine job if you needed to call them in.
Bless you for taking such good care and for posting on her blog for us.
Best,

Barb, you’ve got quite a catch in that hubby of yours. I would of liked to see the Colonel kick bu** at the hospital :-).
View CommentSeriously Barb, take care of yourself. The tree and decorations can wait. The real meaning of Christmas is the love of family and friends. Let people help you heal.
I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
Hugs to you Barb,
Mary Ann

*Dear Barb n’ Bill~ When your precious Bill reads this to you, please remember that “WE GALS” m-a-y say it all much “SWEETER n’ SOFTER” than a strac, “HOOAH!” Marine (and GOD LOVE ‘EM!!!), yes ~~~ B-U-T, of course, HE’S the only one who can say it with every single ounce of love in his big, ol’, soft heart, cuz you’re “HIS GIRL”!!! (Don’tcha feel SUPER-LOVED tho, by all these prayers/good wishes or WHAT?!?!?). Didn’t even know you were ill, but have NOW got you on my prayer list too, and Bill also! I spent 38 years in the Army w/ MY prince, so you both have EXTRA-SPECIAL PRAYERS coming from our way, my friends! (And I PERSONALLY am LOVING being a “retired Army wife”~~~ it’s FAB!!!). Many warm get-well hugs, Linda (we “retired” in AZ desert & love it~ and Bill, Jim’s handicap is now a 1! See? There IS hope! Grins!)

I just came by to meet a fellow NC blogger & see she is sick…so sorry to hear that. However, I know that this blogging thing is an addictive disease, and NOTHING can keep you from blogging, so I’m sure she’ll be up & at it before we can blink!
