I love how you can take a few packages of inexpensive ornaments and create a warm and welcoming statement in any part of your home. Most of the time, I place simple touches such as the ones seen below in my bathrooms or in the guest rooms. I hope you enjoy these inspiring pics…..
A simple planter of silk stems gets a special touch with mini Christmas balls. Use the balls to cover up the styrofoam that holds the stems in place.
Barb’s Own Decorating Tip…
Utilize what’s in your own back yard. Go out and cut various branches which have lost their leaves, or strip the dead leaves. You can use them au naturel or how about spray painting them white. I like to use the spray paints with glitter added in during the holidays. Insert a piece of styrofoam into the base of any container, and fill with the branches. Add small Christmas balls at the base.
Easy peasey!
Barb’s Tip….
Crumple up newspaper or plastic bags as filler so you do not require as many balls. Sprinkle faux snow on top of the filler. This adds a layer of softness and disguises the filler, as well.
A crackled silver ornament takes center stage in this beautiful centerpiece.
Almost everyone owns a punch bowl. If not, they can be picked up inexpensively this time of year at places like HomeGoods, Ross, Marshalls, etc. I have a collection of antique glass Christmas balls my mother passed along to me and my sister. They are over 50 years old.
Barb’s Decorating Tip….
The perfect martini! 🙂 This would be lovely at each guests place setting. I would cut out small squares of vellum with decorative edge scissors (available at all craft stores) and write each guest’s name, and simply tuck it into the glass.
The ball serves as a water vase.
More gazing balls….this bird bath is filled with a larger gazing ball and various sizes of ornaments. Just beautiful!
Another inexpensive idea….an ornament filled cloche on top of an antique silver tray.
Large glass balls are stacked on top of a glass cake stand, with bits of moss and greenery tucked in and around.
I hope you have enjoyed these simple ideas. It’s good to be back! 😉
Blessings, Barb

VERY COOL! I love all the “ball” decorations! I have some BIG Non-Breakable balls from Big Lots that I put together a grouping on my front porch. I have some gazing balls that I’m going to incorporate in another scenario thanks to your inspiration! Blessings!
