This is where I get my molasses for my homemade gingerbread.
Well, it tastes like….jelly! But it provides a good laugh when you give it as a gift.
I love this old cook stove. Their display items are different and unique.
Someone discovered a new friend!
Comfy rockers are provided up front near the old wood stove. These are generally filled with men! My husband and dad included! 🙂
I had never seen these before I started visiting this store – rocking foot stools! Cole decided if MeeMaw could have one, so could he!
I hope you enjoyed your visit to a mountain General Store.
My Mountain Sojourn : Part III will conclude with a floral arrangement made with red mountain apples and white roses for your Thanksgiving centerpiece.
Until then…..Blessings to You and Yours, Barb

Barb you know I will stopping there this spring when we take our annual trip up to the Grove Park Inn in Asheville. You had me at Neccos a favorite memory of mine was my daddy giving me Neccos! My moms favorite candy was Mary Jane’s. I can’t wait to see your floral arrangement. I bought some stuff to do mine with yesterday per our discussion.

Oh, Barb, stores like this are the most fun of all. We have nothing like this here, but I remember many in a lot of the little towns in Texas. You brought back great memories of some of those trips. Thanks, great fun. Marty

Hi Barb…Waynesville is one of my favorite towns. I grew up about 20 minutes away from there in Canton. We played them in football and they were our arch enemies! lol I was in Waynesville over Labor Day weekend for my class reunion. Yes, the Mast General Store is wonderful. There used to be a neat litle toy store with all of the old fashioned toys. Did you see it? Looks like Cole had a good time. Thanks for the visual tour of my old stomping grounds…Debbie

What a beautiful little town. Love that store, Marty is right, there are still alot of them in small Texas towns. Cole is adorable. I have a nephew named Cole, what an imp. I may have to start a blog and post pix of our little piece of heaven in Central Texas. I think you would love some of the little shops and galleries. Thanks for the little trip, we don’t get much fall color here and the pix are gorgeous.
