As the wife of a 30-year career Marine and War Veteran, and the mother of an Army Soldier son and daughter-in-law who are currently serving their second tour in Iraq, I am solemnly reminded of those mothers, fathers, wives, husbands, sons and daughters who have also “served” and sacrificed in so many ways. There is no greater burden to bear than watching a loved one go to war, especially a child. So many lives have been lost since the birth of this great country. These sacrifices must be remembered. It does not matter that you are Democrat or Republican, black or white, male or female – none of that is important. It matters that we are Americans who are privileged to live in such a wonderful country with freedoms who were fought and won on soils near and far. It matters that we may pray and worship without fear for our lives. May we always remember and thank our Fallen Heroes. May we give thanks to the many service members, who even now – are sacrificing so much so we may enjoy our freedoms. God Bless our Troops. God Bless the families of our Troops. God Bless America.

May God bless and protect your son, daughter-in-law, and all the unspeakable heroes daily fighting for our freedom. I’m convinced that He equipped them with extra doses of courage and humility to do the job they were put here to do.
Blessings, prayers, and gratitude beyond words to you and yours, Barb. Thank you for the solemn and necessary remembrance that should extend well past today.

Veterans Day is a day to remember all of those who serve or served. Who better to remember than a wife and mother!

Barb, Thankyou to you and yours for the dedication your family has given to our country. We Americans are blessed beyond belief thanks to the freedom we live under. A freedom that has been paid for by so many. The older I get the more I can appreciate our great country and those who have served it so well. God Bless you and Yours, Kathysue
